What does a typical day at Sligo look like?

Every day at Sligo 2022 will have different content; however, the format of the Main Sessions each day looks similar:

Morning Bible Teaching - 9.30am - 11.00am

Morning Seminars - 11.45am - 1.00pm

Afternoon Seminars - 2.45pm - 3.45pm

Evening Celebration - 7.15pm - 9.00pm

Our Sligo summer conference is a key event for the church in Ireland to join together for a week of worship, ministry and teaching. We believe this call is for everyone and that we can all play a part in it. Whether you come on your own, with your family and friends or with a group from your church there is something for you.

Encountering God’s presence is for everyone! Relevant and fun-filled programmes keep those aged 0-18 happy while the adults can enjoy the main sessions, seminars and workshops throughout the week. Our key values of worship, teaching and ministry are held firmly in all our programmes.

You can fill your day with seminars, and teaching, or you can take a trip to the beach, get involved in the many community events or enjoy the sights of Sligo. You set the pace for the week.

Sligo provides a space and a place where churches and Christians from all over Ireland, can come together to hear God, so that local churches can be empowered and equipped to change their community and Ireland.

morning.

Mornings start with a bang at Bootcamp. If staying fit (or getting fit) is your thing, then join us every morning at 8am for Bootcamp! Led by a personal trainer, this 30 minute group work-out is the perfect way to start the day for anyone and everyone.

If you prefer a slower start our main morning Bible Teaching Sessions kick off at 9.30am. These main sessions start each of our days with worship, Bible teaching and ministry before you can head off to a seminar of your choice. Throughout these sessions we will be looking at a particular topic or book with the same Speaker across each day.

This morning Bible Reading session is then followed by seminars covering many different topics including: Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, Growing in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, Leadership, Mission, Biblical Literacy, Intimacy with God and Churches Impacting Society.

During the two morning sessions there are programmes for 0-18s and each evening there are programmes for those aged 5-18. During the Morning Seminar session, we also run a programme for those who have additional needs.

afternoon.

There are more seminars running each afternoon and on the last day a family celebration in the Arena.

There are no programmes for Under 18s so this is also a great opportunity to take some time to relax and explore all that Sligo has to offer.

evening.

These evenings are an opportunity to corporately celebrate and encounter the Lord afresh! To worship, lean in and respond to what God is saying to us as the Church in Ireland.

Each evening we have different speaker sharing what they believe God has put on their heart.

late night.

Night time calls for entertainment - From floodlit football to our famous Big Quiz there’s something for everyone. This is a great opportunity to meet some new people.

There is also the opportunity to attend late night worship. We will be pursuing God’s presence & responding to His voice as we thread intercession with worship. No agenda. Just Jesus.
